About our Committee Members

The committee is made up of our two co-chairs, membership secretary, treasurer and section representatives that manage the day to day running of the choir. We are supported by our Musical Director. There’s a little bit about some of us below.

Musical Director - Rónán de Búrca trained as a classical pianist in Dublin, and holds a diploma of associateship from the London College of Music (ALCM). He has worked with several choirs, instrumentalists and soloists in Dublin, Brussels and Bristol, primarily as an accompanist (on both piano and flute) and also providing some musical direction. Rónán's background includes several appearances on TV and radio, working on stage and also in the recording studio. Rónán is ably supported by our pianist Miranda Garland.

Committee

Co-Chairs - Ceri Lowe-Petraske and Karl Kirk - These two are responsible for the day to day running of the choir, ensuring that all decisions are made in line with the constitution and trying to keep the committee meetings short and sweet!

Membership Secretary - Phil Wood - Looks after all our requests to join the choir and our fledgling newbies until they are fully up to speed with the songs and all that happens in the choir.

Treasurer - Neil Forsyth - Treasurer: Takes care of our funds and makes sure we pay our rent on time as well as dedicating part of our proceeds to nominated charities.
