Summer Sing Out @ The Anson Rooms, Student Union Building, Queens Road, Bristol - Saturday 19th June 2010

We were really pleased to be joined by Bristol's Stepford Sisters, who started the evening off with a superb selection of songs. Our choir had the task of following them - and judging by the audiences reaction - hit the mark with many foot tapping favourites. The summer theme of the evening - was supported by many quirky props, including end of the pier photo stands and a 're-tuned' version of Punch & Judy! Much merrymaking was had in the 'hot' bar-room and the aftershow disco continued into the late evening...

Sing Out Bristol @ The Anson Rooms, Student Union Building, Queens Road, Bristol - Saturday 14th November 2009

We had a blast of an evening - A full audience, a great selection of songs - followed by a good knees-up party which included Irish dancing! The new members evening following the event saw our numbers swell by over ten!

Performance - Sunday 19th April 2009

First Perfomance

Our first public performance was performed on Sunday 19th April at St Paul's Church, Portland Square, Bristol. Extremely positive feedback was given during and after the show. It proved to be a very good run-thru for preparing to take on the London Southbank two weeks later...

London Southbank...

We were privileged to be asked to perform at the prestigious Various Voices London 2009 event which took place over the bank holiday 1st-4th May 2009. We took part in the opening ceremony in good company - Lesley Garrett took the lead singing 'Here's Where I Stand' and our choir along with a selection of others produced a rip-roaring start to what turned out to be an emotional roller coaster of a weekend. Many members took full advantage of the varied event performances and workshops - providing inspiration to us all to want to develop the choir in many exciting new directions! Our performance on Sunday in the Purcell Room following two other choirs, ARCU and Onder Anderen - was very well received indeed. Getting a standing ovation at the end of our set, proved to be an empowering moment for all concerned - I think it was fair to say that most nerves were overcome, and members really enjoyed the whole experience, which showed through with some of our best performance pieces yet... (can't wait for the next Various Voices!!)

Colston Hall - Bristol - Saturday 16th May 2009

We sang a 30 minute set in the volumous new entrance foyer - as the public gained their first viewing of the new building. We were one of 8 choirs who were asked to sing during the day - representing the diversity of the city. Judging by the number of people who were fixed in one spot - for the whole of our performance - we made a suitably strong impact!

Also we have been asked to perform in a festival to celebrate the opening of the foyer at the Colston Hall at some point between 18th and 27th September - hopefully we'll be able to confirm a date and time in the next few weeks.
